Events We Hold
Ripon and District Conservatives hold a manor of events throughout the year. Ranging from quiz nights, regular Meet Your MP and Secretary of State evenings.
- Quiz Nights: A general quiz covering a good spread of questions, sometimes including a two course supper.
- Meet Your MP evenings: Your local MP, Julian Smith, will bring you up to speed on 'hot topics' in current political situations within the government. Always followed by a feisty Q&A session, so you can ask the questions you want.
- Speaker evenings: Throughout the year we will be joined by a speaker to hold an evening on a certain topic, this may Secretaries of State discussing political matters or local historians discussing the history of Ripon and surrounding areas; this may also include a three-course meal. The speaker can range from a local businessperson, to Ministers, MP's or even Secretaries of State, plus many others.
