Ripon and District Conservatives

Ripon and District Conservatives - Serving the Community

The Skipton and Ripon constituency was formed in 1983, and since then Ripon and District has been under Conservative hold. MP's for Skipton and Ripon have been John Watson (1983-1987), David Curry (1987-2010) and Julian Smith (2010-Present).

The Right Honourable Julian Smith MP is the Member of Parliament for the Skipton and Ripon constituency, of which our branch of Ripon is a part. You can find more about Julian in the section below, Meet Your Local Conservative Team.

We have an active network of branches and members, holding regular social events to support our campaigns for the Party. Soon to have a Young Conservatives' branch.
On our website, you can see our events and get details of our team, plus much more.

In order for events to take place and be financed, Ripon and District Conservatives have established their own fundraising arm, named the Right Minded Group.

The Right Minded Group:
The Right Minded Group, often referred to as RMG, is the fundraising arm of the Ripon and District Conservatives. The RMG helps to organise and fund upcoming events. Our aim is to provide enjoyable, fun and informative events for the district; as well as encouraging membership of the Skipton and Ripon Association.

Why Vote Conservative?

We believe this video will provide a good explanation into why: To name a few reasons why the Conservative Party is not only the best option for Ripon, but for the country: 1. We are keeping taxes low, including the freeze of fuel duty. 2. We are committed on delivering the vote of the people, from the 2016 EU Referendum. 3. We are continuing to support our armed forces with an extra £1.8 billion a year. 3. We are giving our vital NHS an extra £20.5 billion a year! 4. We are capping unfair energy price rises. 5. We are increasing school funding 6. 75.8% employment rate in the U.K. - a record high! In fact, one of the highest in Europe. • Plus much, much more! We are forever updating what we are doing for the country and the people who live here. So to keep up-to-date, follow us on social media and ensure you get the hard facts from the Conservatives - to ensure they do not get twisted by individuals, other political parties or even the media.
